End of the Week is almost here

Well, the weekend is almost here. Can you hear me jumping for joy? Probably not, but 4:30 is just a couple of hours away.
Busy week. We are getting Jessica (dd) ready to move to Banff on Sept. 6. She is going to work at the Fairmont Banff Springs for 6 months. Main reason to go out there is to snowboard, I think, but what a great experience. Anyway, there are endless lists and boxes and things to remember. I will miss her terribly, but I am so excited for her.
The other girls are getting ready to go back to school. Keltie in her 4th year of a BA program at St. Thomas and Heather is in grade 12. We're looking at 2 graduations in the spring of 2005.
This will likely be the last weekend at the camp for a couple of weeks as Jess leaves next weekend. Hate to see the summer come to an end but we plan on spending several weekends there in the fall.
This Saturday night proves to be a wild one. The six other people that we went on the cruise with last spring are getting together for a BBQ. I'm sure there will be many Margaritas and losts of rehashing of times on the Ship. Boy, would I love to go again. Anyway, here's to Saturday night and old friends.

Changing time

Just realized that the time on this site is wrong. I better change it.

Another Rainy Saturday

Friday evening
I arrived at the cottage. The weekend is here at last! Rob had a wonderful lobster dinner waiting for me. It was "to die for". Quiet evening around "the Point". We walked the dog around 11:30 and looking out from the beach, we could see two sailboat shouded in the fog. Calm wind and warm. Great to have some "alone" time with no kids, no company. Awesome.

Saturday
My, God, another Rainy Saturday!!! I could scream. Instead, we slept in, had a late breakfast and read the paper. Oh, yeah, and watched the Olympics. Let's face it, what else is there to do. Canada's performance may not be the best but it makes the few medals we win even sweeter.
At the moment, Heather (DD) is at a friend's house, Rob (DH) is at FutureShop with "the boys" which gives me time to update my "blog". It promises to be sunny tomorrow. Keeping my finger's crossed.

In the beginning

Well, friends, relative and people I don't know yet. Welcome to my "blog" called the Ragged Point Rant.
For those who know me, you already know where Ragged Point is and how much I love it. For those who don't know me well, just let me say that Ragged Point is a little piece of heaven that rests on the Saint John river in New Brunswick, Canada. I've spent every summer of my life there and love every minute.
I hope to make this a journal of my thoughts and activities, for myself and anyone who is interested in taking a peek into someone elses life.
