Birthday weekend for Keltie
We had a great celebration this weekend for Keltie's 28th birthday...wow, that is amazing that we have a daughter who is that age. I always say that the girls age but I don't. ;-) We feasted on Fajitas and Costco cake. MMMMmm. The big event of the evening was Keltie treating us to a couple of songs. I always knew she had an amazing voice but it's hard to convince her to sing for us. She has a nice "bluesy" kind of voice plus Frank, her boyfriend, is an amazing guitar player. All in all, a great time was had by all!

Getting chilly in the Maritimes....November is here!
The wind is getting chilly, it's getting dark before I get home from work and the weather forcast for Saturday is in the minus range...gosh I hate this time of year!!! Way to early to think about Christmas (I don't think about it until Dec. 1st, if I can help it), boat is put away, camp is closed up, etc. O well, I will just have to get inspired to do something....Oh, yeah, that's why I started writing this blog again!! I should really change the title to "50 something lady" eh?

I'm baaaaack!
It has been so long since I have posted on this blog and so much has happened, both happy and sad. Really too much to cover in one post and all of you who know me well, already have seen me through much of it:
- Dad died last spring. He was 93 and in poor health, though his love of life and ladies never faded. The night before he died, he was making passes at the nurses and inviting them to "sleep over". Wow, do I ever miss that MAN!
- Rob has changed jobs...He is now working for the Irving Flight Dept. out of Saint John. Yep, we are finally back in SJ....well, at least he is. We have our house for sale and I will be here until we sell and then will be looking for a new HOME in Saint John. I won't bore you with all the detail about "mucking out" our house and getting it in the best shape ever....for someone Else!! Soooooo...."Wanna buy a House" Take look.

Jessica has made the cover of HERE
Take a peek at Jessica's first "cover shot" (She's the one with the Dreadlocks). Here is a province wide, weekly Urban newspaper. A talented friend of Jessica's, John Houdin, took the picture for the paper. Her look is hippy and I think that came across. So serious, but gorgeous.
We also attended a show at The Cellar on Saturday night where Jessica's band, Gordon Gets Lost, put on a great show. Such great talent in such a small family.
Take a peek at the inside of the paper for her interview - HERE

Keltie's audition - part 2
Keltie had her audition this morning. For her reflections on the event check out her Blog. From her Mom's point of view, she looked so confident and professional. I am so proud of the way she managed the stress of the situation. The only drawback is that we have to wait until they audition the rest of the country before she hears about the next step.

Tomorrow is a big day for our DD, Keltie. She has an audition for the National Theatre School. Acting and theatre have been a life long passion for her and I just know that they will be amazed by her talent. Break a leg sweetie, - Give 'em hell!!

Some pictures from Daytona Bike Week
Her chest reads "Here's looking at you" with mirrors on her nipples. Classy, eh?
This lovely young lady was serving beer to all those thirsty bikers. In truth, she could have been serving warm, dirty water, and they would still buy.
Just one example of the great bikes that were on display. Rob and I drove over for Saturday afternoon, just to look around and have lunch on the beach. It was a great day.
